- Pchum Ben - A Cambodian religious festival [Oct 6-9]: A time when many Cambodians pay their respects to deceased relatives. People cook meals for monks, bring offerings to the temple and throw rice near the temple early in the morning, believing that the ghosts of their ancestors will receive it. The festival is celebrated mostly among Cambodian Buddhists.

November:
- Sixth Annual Angkor Photo Festival [Nov 20-27]: Created in 2005, the Angkor Photo Festival is the first such event to be organized in South-east Asia. The festival's 2010 program will present works photographed around the world through exhibitions and outdoor slideshows in different locations in Siem Reap. This is consistent with the festival's mission of highlighting emerging South-east Asian photographers.
- Khmer Water Festival [Nov 20-22]: Bon Om Thook, as it is called in the Khmer language is one of Cambodia's most festive celebrations. The riverside area comes alive with local culinary treats, games, river boat races, fireworks, and flotillas.
